STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING. read this. I started following this girl and her whole dash ended up these. And her last post. I can’t even say words. Anons took her life. If that okay with you, then carry on with your day. If you agree this is unacceptable and okay, then reblog and spread the word. What you say can actually change a persons life! So help out

Dude, I know you don’t like gay marriage. Or gays in general. But this is about physically, emotionally, and sexually abused and neglected children finding homes and families and stability.
I know these kids. I live with them. I care for them. My family has adopted two, and we’re helping another right now. But there simply aren’t enough straight families to care for them. The few straight families that DO want to adopt want a healthy white baby girl. You know who wants the half-Arab, neglected and sexually abused 9 and 11 year old brothers with ADD and PTSD? A gay couple does.
If you can look those kids in the eyes and tell them, ‘you’re better off with the heterosexual dad who touched you at night and smashed your head into bathroom tiles during the day than with the two gay men who want to love and care and raise you’, go ahead. I dare you. Try it. It’s pretty hard.
Kids need families. I don’t have the heart to tell them no. And I sincerely hope you don’t, either.

I don’t think some people realise that this attitude is something that is taught by society—people teach boys they shouldn’t care about anything feminine, people make them play with toys that are gendered as masculine, people berate them when they do anything feminine, society essentially tells them that anything masculine is better, then people produce literature and film and TV that reinforce this mindset. It’s obvious that. it. doesn’t. have. to. be. this. way. Sexism isn’t inherent. Literature and TV and film don’t have to reinforce this mindset—entertainment can go against the grain; if people create well-rounded characters, kids have the capacity to accept them, whether they’re male or female.
